How Merging Works
The tool reads each PDF file in your browser using pdf-lib, copies all pages from each source document into a new combined PDF, and lets you download the result. The original files are not modified.
Pages maintain their original size, orientation, and content. Bookmarks and form fields from original files are not carried over – the merge preserves visual content only.
FAQ
How many files can I merge?
There's no hard limit. Performance depends on total file size and your device's memory. Merging 10–20 average-sized PDFs is typically fine.
Are bookmarks and links preserved?
Page content (text, images, layout) is fully preserved. Bookmarks, interactive form fields, and some internal links may not transfer during the merge.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
The tool attempts to open encrypted PDFs. If the file requires a password to view content, it won't be readable. PDFs with owner-password restrictions (print/copy protection) may still work.
